Flooring Policies
Flooring Sales Policy
The description of the flooring we are installing for you is detailed on your Sales Order. Upon receipt of this agreement, you are indicating that you have reviewed the Sales Order closely and the details within are correct.
All flooring products are "special order" for each individual customer’s needs. The items ordered for you are not returnable to the manufacturer or to Union Furniture and Flooring. On the rare occasion the material is returnable, handling and freight charges will apply.
All flooring projects require a certain amount of material to be ordered to complete your project. The amounts ordered are determined by field and/or blueprint measurements. Estimates typically require extra material be ordered over and above the actual square footage to insure enough material is on site to complete the project. In some cases, all of the material is not used to complete the project. Material overages are included within your estimate and unused material is not returnable.
All material orders require a 30% non-refundable down payment at the time materials are ordered.
Installation
Material ordered for installation will be stored by Union Furniture and Flooring a reasonable time until an agreeable installation date is set. The installation schedule is solely dependent on the installation crew schedules.
Material ordered that is not to be installed by Union Furniture and Flooring is expected to be picked up, paid for and stored by the customer within 14 days of receipt by Union Furniture and Flooring.
The labor associated with installation is warrantied for (12) months from the date of installation. Products sold are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Union Furniture and Flooring does not warranty products sold.
Products
Products made from natural materials (stone tile, ceramic tile, wool, real linoleum, wood, etc.) have natural variations. As a result, you should expect variations. These natural variations are not defects, and no refund or replacement will be made for natural products that have normal color, texture and appearance variations.
Many products have unique texture such as "hand scraped or rustic" looks. These textures are not exact or consistent and may have variations from samples. These are not defects and the products are not returnable for such variations.
Defective Products
Fortunately, it is a very rare situation, but should the manufacturer determine the flooring materials that we install in your home are defective, we will make it a top priority to repair or replace the materials as warranted. The warranties sold with the respective products are manufactures warranties only. The product has no warranty offered by Union Furniture and Flooring.
Monetary compensation is not provided for lost wages, lost revenue or any other contingency; including but not limited to the cost of other contractors, the cost for alternate accommodations or psychological distress.
